Magil Fine Art Gallery is situated just off ?Main Street? Dublin. Equi-distant from O?Connell Bridge and the Ha?penny Bridge on the North Quay, it provides the client with a good mix of quality art and quantity relaxation for tired feet!
Apart from sourcing distinguished traditional paintings, an enthusiastic challenge of its owner, Bernadette Murphy is the championing of worthy contemporary artists whom she feels will make ripples in the art pool. To date, her instincts have not failed her as is evidenced in the acclaimed leading Impressionist artist, Elizabeth Brophy and the lush Interior scenes of Norman Teeling.
Surprises are not unusual at Magil Fine Art. Clients who come to browse and have a cup of coffee will sometimes leave having placed a deposit on a ?must have?.
Many services are provided by the gallery to include: valuations, the purchase of paintings from collectors moving up or moving out, the cleaning and restoration of paintings and fine china, commissions and finding artists? work. Debates on the merits or otherwise of artists creating new precedents are natural topics of the day.
Hand craft art comes in the form of jewellery at Magil Fine Art.
On silver plated copper chains with niello decoration, jeweller Sybilla Wildenfeld arranged semi-precious stones: turquoise, amethyst, blue agate, lapis lazuli, rose quartz, malachite, cornelian, pern and pyrites on necklets, pendants, bracelets, brooches, rings and ear-rings.
Her unique talent is greatly admired on the continent and in the USA. This is the first exhibition of her works in Dublin or Ireland.
Clients become friends at Magil.
